Wine has been part of the Chilean culture since the arrival of the Spanish conquerors. Over the years, a number of grapes have been introduced in Chile and have thrived. While Chile’s production has historically been Cabernet Sauvignon, a new diversity has developed over recent years with Carmenere as its star grape. This star grape is now virtually unique to Chile.  While Chile is now a global producer of excellent wines, wine is still a significant part of the local culture, with a consumption that is easily double that of Canada and the US. Come and discover your favorite Chilean wine!
